Tutoring
I can tutor your child in any subject with a specifically “Autistic Support” perspective. I have taught Autism-specific Language Arts, Math, History, and Science, using visual and multisensory methods to help children with ASD learn. I can also prepare and teach 1 on 1 or small group Social Skills lessons on a range of issues, from hygiene to making friends to working in groups at school. I can also teach and monitor your child’s organizational skills, which are especially useful for middle and high school. I am certified in and have taught Special Education (Pennsylvania) in a prominent school district. I have additional certifications in middle school language arts and math, and I have taught Wilson, SRA, and many other reading programs.
Therapy
I am trained in all major methods of therapy, including ABA, Floortime, VB, TEACHH, PECS, etc, so I can tailor my work with your child to his or her specific needs.
Consulting
As an experienced teacher, I offer an “insider’s” perspective on your child’s special education services. I can be an extra set of eyes to evaluate the effectiveness of your child’s IEP and services. I can read the IEP, observe your child at school and provide a report to you, as well as attend IEP meetings as an advocate.
